Every day we sail for an excursion aboard a spacious and comfortable sailing vessel, called “Monomaran” for its exceptional features of liveability and comfort on board, which make it similar to a catamaran, while maintaining the seaworthiness and navigation safety of a large and elegant sailing boat. You will live an experience in contact with the nature of the Marine Protected Area of Tavolara and Molara, near Olbia, where there is a port and an airport. A special excursion, departing from the enchanting Port of Golfo Aranci, a few minutes from Olbia, located in a strategic position to visit the islands of Tavolara and Molara. The first stop will be near the fish farm in the open sea, located before Capo Figari, where it is easy to spot the dolphins that live in the area, constantly searching for food. We will then continue to Tavolara, where we will stop for just over an hour to swim in turquoise water and visit the island and its beaches, where you will be enchanted by the stories linked to the "King of Tavolara". Tavolara is an island that emerges from the sea like a granite colossus dotted with Mediterranean greenery that gives its name to the marine protected area around it. The island is known as the smallest kingdom in the world. Tavolara is a limestone and granite mountain that emerges from the sea, 560 meters high, four kilometers long, characterized by impervious rocks, an imposing and dizzying verticality and splendid chromatic tones: the green of juniper, rosemary and mastic, combined with the light blue, blue and emerald green of the surrounding waters. The island, with its elongated and almost flat shape, is the centerpiece, as well as the characterizing symbol of an unforgettable spectacle: the marine protected area of Tavolara-Punta Coda Cavallo, which extends for 76 kilometers along the coast. Here you can swim, snorkel and enjoy an excellent aperitif with typical Sardinian products washed down with excellent Sardinian Vermentino wine. You will then sail to Molara, making another stop for swimming and lunch in the splendid area of the "Piscine di Tavolara", where we will have lunch floating on a turquoise sea, a stretch of sea between the island and the coast where the turquoise color of the water and its transparency will take your breath away and amaze you. On the return sail, weather permitting, the skipper will choose another cove for a last swim of your choice among the wonderful bays of Porto Istana, Cala Girgolu, the three sisters of Capo Ceraso or Cala Moresca: the choice will be up to the skipper depending on the wind of the day. The relaxing return sail will be dedicated to the search for dolphins that often come to visit us in this area: it is not guaranteed! .... they are free ... and we want them that way! ...
